Edward Romero is a nationally recognized public-sector executive and procurement leader with over 23 years of experience across administrative operations, strategic sourcing, risk management, contract administration, and organizational improvement.

• • Director of Purchasing at Comal Independent School District (September 2025 – Present), overseeing strategic planning, competitive sourcing, supply chain, inventory, warehousing, and supplier diversity programs.

• • Executive Director of Operations & Business Services at San Antonio Independent School District (September 2019 – September 2025), directing multi-function operations and supervising a 14-member team including directors, contract administrators, and professional staff. Successfully navigated nationwide pandemic operations through the COVID-19 Economic Transition Team and Reopening Task Force.

• • Director of Purchasing & Risk Management at Southside ISD, guiding procurement, asset auctions, and major capital facility acquisitions (early childhood campuses, fine arts auditoriums, and STEM labs).
